CHICAGO, Sept. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — The Office of Experience (OX), a Chicago-based design and digital innovation consultancy, today announced it has named Matt Herlihy as Executive Director, Strategy. Herlihy comes to OX most recently from Pivot Design, where he was Vice President, Brand Strategy.

“At OX, we believe the experience is the brand, and creating a positive experience is fueled by robust customer insights,” said Stratton Cherouny, OX Co-Founder. “We’re thrilled to have Matt join the OX family as strategy lead. His multidisciplinary, multi-industry experience will help drive strategic brand transformation programs for clients at all levels and propel the firm beyond the extraordinary growth rate we’ve experienced over the past four years.”

Over his career, Herlihy has created transformative brand, marketing and communications strategies for leading global brands including Mack Trucks, Cargill, BMO, General Electric, Mercedes-Benz, Uber and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

“OX views strategy through the lenses of problem solving, human-centered design and storytelling, which makes us a natural fit,” said Herlihy. “Together, we’ll extend the agency’s significant strategic chops into a world-class practice to continue delivering compelling and effective brand experiences. I’m thrilled to be building something exceptional with this team.”

“Very few practitioners in the strategy space can think, express and enable the essence of a brand—and do so in a human-centered way—as gracefully and seamlessly as Matt can,” said Carlos Manalo, OX Co-Founder. “We’re looking forward to the possibilities that Matt can help us uncover, strengthen and actualize in our quest to help each brand manifest across all the right touchpoints and all the right journeys.”
