Two OX Leaders Dispel Creative and UX Myths in New Podcast Interview
Dan Knuckey, Executive Creative Director at The Office of Experience, and Jason Bowman, Executive Director of User Experience at OX, discussed their respective disciplines on a recent episode of The Agile Brand podcast. They joined host Greg Kihlström to dispel a pair of myths they have encountered in funding creative and UX work.
The candid and lively conversation began by challenging the notion that creative and UX work can be a one-time process. Instead, the leaders advised, these disciplines are better seen as a long-term investment that requires ongoing attention and resources. As customers and companies evolve over time, they said, experiences need to keep up—or risk being left behind for the next new trend.
The second myth discussed was the notion that creative and UX are only important for digital projects. As important as digital experiences are, according to Knuckey and Bowman, making them a sole focus risks the neglect of other brand touchpoints. Designing a consistently designed, well-architected experience across all potential channels is necessary to build trust and loyalty, one moment of truth at a time.
